Marshall Law Bio....
The "wild man" country rocker, Marshall
Law, has definitely lived up to his title through the years. Born in Louisville,
KY, this cowboy has had his share of hard knocks! Being the son of a Baptist
preacher, Marshall's rebel attitude kept him in trouble from an early
age all the way to manhood. His love for music would over ride his rowdy
ways. At the age of 14, he got his first guitar and taught himself to
play. He quickly began writing his own songs. Very soon he formed a rock
band and began playing everywhere from garage jams to county fairs. He
knew at a very early age what he wanted to do with his life, but time
passed and along came love and marriage. A very young Marshall and his
wife had a son that was born deaf. Though he still had a deep love for
music and a desire to share his music with the world, his family had to
become his first priority.
Sadly, Marshall's son died in a house
fire and is now divorced. His only passion is life now it to devote all
his time to music career.
Throughout the years he wrote song after song, building a huge catalog
of tunes. Never giving up on his music, he moved to the West Coast and
formed a strong sounding rock band with a hint of country flair. They
released a single entitled, "West Coast Ladies". The song did well considering
it was released on an independent label. This young band had reasonable
success and created such a stir that Warner Brothers Records took an interest
in signing the band. Sadly, their interest came too late. As often happens
with young bands, there were internal problems and the band dissolved.
As the saying goes, timing is everything.
Being the wild man rocker, throughout the years Marshall has been known
for wowing audiences with his high energy performance, doing stunts like
jumping off stage and dancing across table tops. Marshall believes iin
giving the crowd their money's worth. He has performed throughout the
years from Toronto, Canada to California's Sunset Strip. Today, after
having several bands and doing many solo performances, he has finally
found a magic formula with a new, sizzling sound and a band that takes
no prisoners.
"Long Arm of the Law" is Marshall's brand new CD. It has been a remarkable
adventure, with some of the most talented musicians in the country on
board! Marshall's band consists of Charles Glenn on bass, Jimmy Clark
on steel guitar and fiddle, and Jerry Kroon on drums. Collectively this
talented group of gentlemen have worked with such historic musicians as
Elton John, Little Richard, Johnny Paycheck, Billy Preston and have performed
on several hit songs. Add to this the talents of engineer George Tutko
(who has worked with Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Journey and countless
other hit albums), a very talented producer-songwriter Brent Bennett.
Marshall was also blessed to be introduced to Merlin Littlefield by an
incredible friend who heard and loved his music. Merlin is well known
throughout the music industry. He was Vice President of ASCAP and is credited
with the signing of Garth Brooks to Capital during his tenure there. Merlin
has become a mentor and friend to Marshall and has been steadily involved
with the creation of Long Arm of the Law.
The pure talent, energy and diversity behind "The Long Arm of the Law"
extends past any single marketing demographic. "The Long Arm of The Law"
has the feel and spirit to appeal to established country music fans, while
having the energy and attitude to break into the younger demographics.
This is truly a CD to be enjoyed at home, while relaxing on a beach in
the Caribbean, while on a drive by yourself or with friends, or even better,
bursting out of the doors of all the honky-tonk bars down Broadway.
Just be warned and beware! When MARSHALL LAW comes to your town, you won't
want to miss this wild and crazy southern rocker. You are sure to be arrested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
